30th January 2020 - Splash Page

I've added a splash page to the site, not for nostalgia purposes but because google is linking to a "https" version of the site that does not work. Not sure why it doesn't work in whatever https is, but I suspect it has something to do with my terrible coding. And judging by this Twitter thread that I found (click), people do still visit occasionally so I had to do something about it. I'll make the page look more presentable at some point.

I've also edited out the broken links on my links out page and deleted the link exchanges section as I can't keep up with them. While going through my old links I came across a pixel site that is still being updated and looks amazing, Apple Dust:



I haven't made any new pixels myself in a while as unfortunately my old laptop died, and with it went all of my ancient programs like Microsoft Gif Animator. I could still make pixels in Paint but can't figure out how else to animate them. Hopefully I'll figure something out at some point. I've mostly just been filling my spare time with Borderlands 3 recently.

17th November 2017 - Rabbits

I haven't been pixeling much at all this month, I've been really stressed lately. And now just as the stress has eased up and I feel like pixeling again, I've only gone and caught a cold. I managed to make a couple of rabbits today though, they're kinda boring but they do stand up and wiggle their noses a bit (the wiggling is hard to notice on the brown one, I'll have to edit that soon).

I'll be making more pixels soon hopefully, I've got a lot of ideas for them, I just find it difficult to concentrate lately.

Btw Jo at Whimsical put a new layout up recently, it's beautiful and you should definitely check it out! I really love all of the cute little details and the adorable shooting stars in the background.

I've added a new set of pixels; kitty shaped ice cream cones. They're not very original, I've been low on inspiration lately but want to keep a routine of making something new at least once each week.

23rd October 2017 - Fireworks and Pumpkin Patch Mini Scenes

Diwali has just ended I think, and we have bonfire night coming up soon so fireworks have been a regular occurrence here recently. As noisy as fireworks can be, they bring back happy childhood memories of going to Humberstone park (a small park near to where we lived) on bonfire night to see the fireworks display and funfair. So I've always wanted to try to pixel some and I think they turned out okay.

I wasn't happy with the Pumpkin Patch scene at all at first, it looked really plain but a few dots of yellow flowers seemed to brighten it up a bit. There is a bit of animation going on with the grass but it's difficult to notice, I wasn't sure how else to animate it.


19th October 2017 - Glitter Eyeshadow Pots

Just added a set of eyeshadow pot pixels, they're not hugely exciting and they're lighter than the rest of my makeup pixels, I'm experimenting with different styles at the moment.

I wasn't prepared for how difficult it'd be to pixel a slanted lid on its side, and it still looks a bit off. They're kinda based on Barry M's Dazzle Dust, I'm not sure if that's just a UK thing but basically they're really cute little pots of glittery eyeshadow that I used to be obsessed with when I was younger. I haven't bought any makeup myself in years, I need to go shopping for some one day.


17th October 2017 - Chibi Fairies

I've always been really bad at drawing people so I thought I'd have a go at making some of those "chibi" things that seem to be popular. I ended up making a bunch of chibi fairies that I think are kinda cute:

14th October 2017 - Sweets and Nail Polish

Since my last update I've added a few new sets of pixels; bags of sweets, lollipops and nail polish. The swirly lollipops and the metallic nail polish are animated with a little sparkle, the rest are non-animated for now.

11th October 2017 - Shops

I've pixeled three little shops over the past few days; a bakery, a florist and everyone's favourite supermaket, Cazda. They're all non-animated for now.

I really love making these, it kinda reminds me of building stuff on Minecraft except there's more room for small details and I don't have to worry about Creepers spawning in the basement.


9th October 2017 - Little Houses

I'm not sure whether to keep them pastelly or darken the colours a bit, but for now I think I like them as they are. I've got a lot of ideas for these so I'll probably make more soon, and maybe some little pixel shops and other buildings. I've also added a sunflowers pixel, pixeling the tiny sunflowers with the blue house made me want to draw a bigger version of them.


4th October 2017 - Farm Animals

Added two new pixels today, a little pig and cow. I've never attempted to draw either of those animals before, I tend to just stick with pixeling cats or bunnies so I thought I'd start to try pixeling other animals too.

There are only six of them as I really just made the ones that I thought I'd end up using, I'll probably complete the set at some point to cover more emotions though. I've been in a really depressive mood lately so I'll probably be pixeling more soon to attempt to cheer myself up.


29th September 2017 - Cupcakes and Donuts

I've added some new food pixels; cupcakes and donuts. I've decided to use coloured outlines on all of my food pixels from now on rather than the dark brown outline I usually use on everything as my brown outlines seem to not work as well on smaller pixels and pastelly stuff. I'm not sure if these outlines are too light though, I may need to darken them slightly at some point.

I did attempt to make the donuts do a bouncy/squishy animation but ended up disliking it so they're all non-animated for now.

27th September 2017 - Lipsticks

Just finished making a few lipbalm and lipstick pixels! The lipsticks were such a pain to animate, I had to redo them as I'd made them twist the wrong way at first, but I'm happy with how they turned out. And the lipbalms are nicer versions (in my opinion) of pixels I made a long time ago.

I've moved the rest of my makeup pixels to the old pixels page as I wasn't really happy with them anymore, I'll be adding more new ones soon though.

Edit: I've just noticed that my coding is making random extra 1 pixel wide spaces appear between some of my images and not others and it's bothering me immensely. One of these days I'm going to have to learn how to code properly.


26th September 2017 - 50x50 Pixel Scenes/Icons

The second one is supposed to feature an aurora but I'm not sure if it looks anything like one, auroras are harder to pixel than I expected.

Icons are really fun to make so I'll probably make a lot more of them. I'm gonna try to work on some more girly makeup pixels first though as that page is looking pretty empty.


24th September 2017 - Furniture with Faces

I've added a new set of pixels; furniture with faces. I have problems with perspective so they probably look a little off, but oh well, they were fun to draw.

I've also been on a journey through time and space via the wayback machine and stumbled across some of my old pixels, which you'll find in the "Misc Pixels" section, and I also found a few of my old pixel clubs, which I've shoved in my "About Me" section. More new pixels coming soon probably!


18th September 2017 - New Layout: Cazville

I've finally gotten around to making a new layout! I hope everything is working correctly, let me know if you run into any errors. I know there's an annoying border around the clickable links in the header, I'm not sure why that's happening or how to fix it ("border="0" isn't cutting it for some reason) but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.

The header needs a bit more detail adding to it at some point, like more pixel people and areas to link my "Link Back/Links Out" and "Tagboard" pages to. Also I still need to add quite a few pages, and I'm not happy with my css so I'll have to play around with that. I just wanted to get it up and running again for now so I can work on some new pixel art though. Hope you like it, I apologise if not lol, the old layout was just really starting to bother me.

Also I'd like to take the chance to say hi to Ava and Eve if they happen to read this someday; thank you for your sweet tags a few years back, I wasn't active at the time. I'm sorry I haven't replied, to be honest I'm pretty socially awkward at the moment and I'm terrible at writing emails. I really miss you!
